Steering Wheels Question

I'm thinking of changing my steering wheels to a wood version.
Moss & RF have offer the same Moto wheel with the braided wood.
VB offers a solid wood 13" wheel @ a lower price.
Does anyone know the difference in quality?
How hard would it be to match either with dashboard?

Check out Maceys. https://www.macysgarage.com/myweb6/wood_wheels.htm I've no first hand knowledge of these but sounds interesting. Also 13 on a TR3 seems a bit small. I'm not home so can't check for sure but it seems to me that the original was about 15. With standard steering you'll need all the leverage you can get. Tom

I just measured my original and it was 17 inches. I plan to go to 15 inch wheel. But I have not decided on which one. Macysgarage has a good dicussion on wheels and room for your fingers when your hands are close to the dash. I think you can match most any wood.

I think the lower cost wood wheels aren't that bad, unless you want it to say Moto Lita I think I'd save the money and buy the imitation. As to matching the dash, my guess is you need luck there only, not too many options in terms of wheel color are out there.

ps, unless you are purposely trying to get more legroom, I think I'd stick with something around 14" diameter. On my 4 I use a 15" rim and like it a lot.

I agree with Randy. All just opinions around here, but 13" seems too small. Moss' other brand is very good, and doesn't have that stylish signature.

dperry, I have a 13 inch on my TR6 and if you are going in a straight line, great, but not in some spirited driving on a curvy road. Get the 14 and you will be a lot happier.

Wayne PS Going to change mine shortly.
