These guys are incredable. Ebay#2489173372. I got hammered before for pointing out thier deceit, don't care, needs to be done again. Wish I could afford the time and money to fly out there. Would like to do a Zell Miller on them.And yes, you bet it does effect me personally. I have what he claims to have, and I am going MAD having to explain the difference to people who look at my car. Other people bring these cars to my attention, and want to compare them to mine as a bargaining ploy. These same fools get to vote. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Funny, because they point out there are no rust bubbles in the boot, but I can see some surface rust!

And that paint looks a little too light (and shiny!) to be 136 Delft Blue. The original TR paint was so poor quality, it would never achieve that shine...fishy.

Notice he says "..the 150hp engine runs flawlessly..." To bad it doesn't have 150 horses. He obviously either doesn't know his stuff or is REALLY buttering it up. My perspective is, if you can't trust him on one fact (the 150hp), how can you trust any of the rest?

This guy is clearly a business man, rather than a down to earth car salesman, and I don't much care for the former. The previous owner of the PO of my car is a business man, out to make money, and though he's a nice guy I don't like how he's always trying to sell something.

Lying thieves. Always buy from an enthusiastic LBC owner or be prepared to be disappointed.

I'll send him an email asking to come by to see the how good the quality of the restoration was.

Thats my point, the car is suppose to be a "virginal original" not a restored car. If I was smart, I would get these guys to sell mine instead of grousing about it.... nah.

Interesting - good saleman to get that kind of coin for it!

One may notice some blue overspray in the pic with the drivers-side door open(above mirror on rubber seal).
The engine bay pic sure shows the decal beat up despite the superb condition of the surrounding fender.
I also notice where items in the engine bay will be in different condtion - some shiny, some pitted.

He sure put some time into that ad for sure!

Oh well, looks to be sold!

Are you kidding?
I own 5 classic cars, all older than 35 years, all with original interiors.
How do I know this? I guess it's experience from looking at 1,000s of
original and restored cars over the years.
On the blue TR6, the original paint looks nice, but it's not perfect. The
digital pictures do not show all the little imperfections, the "patina" that
only original paint possesses.
Another thing that usually gives away a repaint is overspray on rubber
parts, in the engine compartment, etc.
There's none to be found on this car.
