Had the pleasure of attending the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC Air Show yesterday. Air Show organizers invited some local car clubs to submit cars for selection to attend and several of us from my local Beaufort car club went over. Had to get there at 7:15 AM but was great because we were there well before the estimated 50,000 masses would arrive after 9:00 AM. Got to chat with the pilots of the new F-35 fighter the Corps uses as well as Navy and Air Force. Talked to the Air Force flight crew for a B 52H series that was almost as old as my 56 100M, actually came on line in 1961 and still flying today after many upgrades. Kinda like our Healey's ! Here is one good picture of the 100M parked close to a C-17 and behind it the B52. Can't see it in the picture but huge and menacing looking. The other car is a 1934 Ford owned by a fellow club member. Really made you proud to be an American and to see the young men and women in the Marine Corps as well as some from all the services, gives you confidence in our country's future !
