Hey guys
OK I assume this question has been asked to death, but I certainly haven't had any luck in figuring out the solution. I've tried a number of ways to oil the TR6 trunnions. Everything from standard grease guns to Mercury Marine outboard motor grease gun fittings, which apparently is supposed to do the trick. All I get is a big oil slick on the floor for my efforts. Should I hire the Pope to get the job done? Has anyone used grease successfully? British Leyland engineers couldn't use the standard grease/grease nipple setup. Oh no. "Hey, let's really annoy mechanics and enthusiasts with a completely different system that will boost sales of liquor and the use of foul language".
Have a little mercy. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
with thanks.
