TR6 TR6 brake light

Went out for a ride yesterday. Got in some heavy stop and go resort traffic with lots of braking. On the way home had to do some heavy braking and the brakes chattered then the brake light came on. The light went out when I shut down. I assume a pressure issue and will trouble shoot today. If the pressure sensor goes off, will it reset? Had a short before restoration tear down. Garage fixed it. Hopefully not another short. I don't want to take apart the dashboard again.

You'll have to recenter the shuttle in the PDWA. There's a couple of ways of doing that...One way is described in the Haynes manual "Braking System" Chapter.
Another way is to remove the switch that's on top of the PDWA and use a picklike tool and push the shuttle back to the center...the shuttle in case you didn't know is kind of dumbbell shaped....big on each end, slender in the middle
But make sure the electrical wire did not come off the switch and touching the PDWA or anything grounded.

I finally got this to work. Thank you. At first I was being gentle with a fine pick. After several attempts I decided that if this didn't work, then a tear down of the PDWA was next. So I used a more substantial pick and popped the shuttle back in place. Lights out and brakes work just fine.

Thanks again.

I do not see your collision avoidance lamp in the rear window. As a bodyshop owner who repaired Tr's I hate to say
it but if you dont add a third brake lamp to any LBC , you may well regret Not affixing one. The average repair bill on
a Tr hit from behind is over 10K just to start and good luck finding an experienced tech to do the work . Like myself
most have retired. I prefer the LED style lamps. even my Morgan is so fitted!!

I built my own third brake light for my TR6. I wanted it easily removable for the times I go to shows. The brake light flashes quickly then goes to steady red. Inside the trunk lid I have two knobs and a quick disconnect for the power. I can totally remove the brake lamp in about 15 seconds.

Nice install Elliot! I have done several that had luggage racks. Fished the wire into the weep hole in the front inner
structure and up into the rack .Speedway sells a nice LED in a alloy housing that can be neatly affixed to it.
