In preparation for painting the engine compartment I finally addressed the deformation of the holes in the bulkhead for mounting the windshield washer reservoir (green arrows). I wondered how this could have happened, and if it was by design, but when looking a the bracket I saw the remnants of rivets. Seems to me at one time I lost it and for what ever reason pull the bracket off.
Anyway, I digress, after correcting the damage I caused in a prior life, I looked at the strap. It has deteriorated to the point of being useless.
So I ask the community, what material have you used to effect a repair?
