That would have been a $250 parts car not so long ago.

But TFs are *really* climbing in value (especially compared to TDs), so he might end up getting $5000 or so for it. There was a TC on craiglsit near me a while ago. It was worse and he got around $6000 for it (yes, I know a TC is worth more....but still...).
The lesson here is: Hang on to your old junk! (I'm succeeding nicely)

There was a TC for sale locally that I looked at and passed on. It was not in quite as bad shape as this TF...but woul dhave required an incredible amount of work and dollars to get back on to the road.

The owner sold it to a local dealer for about $5k...whod sold it to an enthusiast in England for $12k plus shipping.

"yes, I know a TC is worth more....but still..." The TFs are getting as much and sometimes more than the TCs. While the TF was panned when it first come out, it has become a very desirable car in recent years. Additionally, there were the same number of TFs manufactured as there were TCs.

It clearly states that the restoration was started.
