That's tough to do. Remember, primer generally does not protect from rust. It might work to use a rattle can to cover parts until you can spray the whole car. Sometimes painting one panel then another may cause the colors to change due to getting the mix correct or the fading over time. Maybe for a time having a Dalmatian car for a while is the way to go. I drove my Spitfire on drive to Flagstaff early in the restoration it was primer gray, rust, white, bondo pink, bare metal, with assorted parts bright red.
