What Needle In Your HS2?

I'm curious to hear what needle people are using in HS2 carbs. I'm thinking about trying some different needles and I'm wondering if there's any consensus in the group...

Some useful info to include in a response:

Engine; 948, 1098, 1275?
General level of modification or stock?
Fixed or Biased Needle?

Visard file's a flat on the needle to change the profile. I've done that to richen up off idle to correct a flat spot.

If it a solid needle carb, the AN is stock on the 1275, and with jet adjustments handles most conditions/builds, if you want something a little richer, you can try a #2 or #3, #3 being richer than #2.

Unless you have a dyno for testing, you're most likely best off using the stock profile. A lot of research and testing went into the making of the needles for each application at the factory. Granted, modified engines MAY work better with different profiles, but your chances of hitting the exact thing you need are fairly minimal. If you just feel like playing, go right ahead, after all that's what having a Spridget is all about, PLAY. But I woudn't expect great results. .. Have a stock set ready to replace anything that you modify.

That said, in the interest of full disclosure, I've gone to a Weber, just so I don't have to mess with the carbs anymore.
