TR2/3/3A TR3A Tire Pressure

I've seen a lot of posts for TR6's tire pressure but what are you running on a TR3. I have Firestone 165R15's on 60 spoke wire wheels. I'm going to my first meeting with the club this weekend and my right side looks a little low....

Capt, there should be many recommendations from TR3 owners here, but if worse comes to worse try the formula for weight divided by 100 lbs equals pressure. It might get you in the ball park to start.

anyone out here with a TR3 who's right side ISN'T looking a little low ????

Something to do with spacers on one side and not the other from the factory to compensate for zero passenger weight that gets exaggerated over the course of time.... of course there are others who say different.... but it's the story I'm sticking to since my right side just looks a little low all the time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've got mine at 30 all around and it bounces a little but..

a) it's a lot easier to parallel park
b) I'm trying to cut my list of things to obsess over
c) I am still a little way away from really pushing it anywhere near its limit

Holy cow, you mean that spacer is factory?!? All this time I thought the DPO went to PepBoys one day,and came home with a spacer.... Is this some belated April Fool's Joke? (even if is), I love this list!

I think the one pictured is a DPO PepBoys special. I'll have to dig for the info. I think it was on the rear springs.

To answer your pressure question... my preference is to inflate the rear tires to the max pressure indicated on the sidewall (e.g. 36#) then use about 4# less up front.

That doesn't exactly give you a boulevard cruiser ride -- okay, it may give you a rock hard butt-busting ride -- but I like the way it handles and steers with that combination.
