Julius,
"Your Club is lucky to have an photographic historian like yourself !!
Great pics & video !!
And lots of us SoCali's drive in the rain; Just not too often because it doesn't rain too often !!
Nancy & I drove the 3 to Breckenridge last year & we got to see rain, snow, hail, and a sandstorm !!
Took more than a wash & wax to clean that up !!"
Appreciate your recognizing what my work is accomplishing but it's not just the 2 clubs I'm a member in, any LBCs I'm around with my gear I shoot for documentation of our British Iron in America Lifestyle & memory joggers in these my senior yrs. Got caught in several of those sunny, topless conditions one minute, all hail breaks loose the next, Rocky Mtn storms in 2001 driving to and at VTR Breckenridge
"Thanx for the pics, Julius. I'm almost sorry I wimped out before Paramount Ranch, but between the fog and the rain (with no top and no wipers) it just wasn't fun any more."
Welcome. Hey I was inside sniveling & whinning actually told Bob I wasn't going on the ride, headed home when I ventured outside and saw you topless, decided to suck it up and go. Props to you for hanging as long as you did, it was close to as miserable as weather gets here. One thing to drive out of such conditions lets say @70 mph most of rain misses the cockpit but the slow speeds we were going and the stop now & then, I knew when you drove by you were headed home
"Thanks from me also, Julius. You always capture exc. pics.
Joe"
Welcome & Thanks. Sun actually broke out past Santa Monica got caught in major traffic (guessing Clippers ball game) stressing 'bout sun baking water spots & grunge made it to Ontario couldn't take it any longer hit carwash off Ramona exit to de-grunge before heading home. Back in Love as we speak just finished 3 hr topless drive, the detailing comes in next day or two getting ready for 4/9/2012 (343K+ miles now) 33 yrs after purchase date 4/9/79 (86K+ miles then) that puts me over 1/4 million miles personally driven my TR6
"Mercy -- you are a hardy lot.
I have often driven in the rain but usually because I started out when it was a fine day and a summer storm caught me. To actually set out for a drive in those conditions is very, well, British.
Great photos Julius! What say you come to Arizona in October and drive in the Arizona Roadrunner? I can almost guarantee no rain."
Glad you liked. There's no shame in our game we S. Cali Peeps are the weather whimps of the nation and proud of it we expect SUN & temps below 65 degrees confuses us. Avid believer in weather even acts like it's thinking rain I don't even get the keys out of the drawer, but hey it was the day before April 1st so I'm chalking it up to that. Residing in the Inland Empire (annual rainfall 10.22") of S. Cali dryest spot in Cali other than Death Valley know some of what you're talking about in Arizona trip there iffy at best 45th Class Reunion Niece Grad from Hi-School quickly devouring travel budget
