Tony,
Welcome to the forum. But as Sherlock pointed out, we have a rule about registering for the sole purpose of promoting other web sites. In fact, it is the very first item in the user agreement on the registration page:

1. DO NOT use this forum for the sole purpose of posting a URL to some other site! This is called SPAM and it will get deleted and you may be banned. A car-related URL in your signature field in your personal profile is acceptable. The bottom line is - don't use the BCF forums just to promote other forums or web sites. This forum is primarily for enthusiasts of British cars to discuss the hobby.

The bottom line is, I prefer vendors not use this forum Cart Blanche to advertise their goods and services, which would essentially be providing free advertising for vendors.
That being said, I will tell you that, after running this forum for four years and paying for it 100 percent out of pocket, I have decided that in the near future I am going to offer select vendors the ability to advertise for a reasonable fee (reasonable especially compared to print advertising). Supporting vendors will be able to have banner ad campaigns (say, four or five banners) that rotate randomly on various web pages. You see an example of this now with a couple of select vendors who have been helpful to the forum in the past. I will also be opening a vendor forum where supporting vendors can post product information, sales, answer questions about their business, etc). Finally, there will be a supporting vendor page where vendors’ banners will be displayed in static fashion. All banners will be “clickable” so that forum members can click on them and be taken to the vendor’s site. Vendors who advertise here will be able to log into a special admin area where they can see how many times their banners have been viewed and clicked on.
Once I get this all set up, I will send out an email to all members (because many of them are also vendors) with details of the program and how to participate, so stay tuned.
Basil
