rat rods anybody?

aside from having little british cars and fully enjoying them, i also build rat rods in my spare time. heres a link to a video of my latest creation, the frankentruck. it is a mostly 34 chevy cab, on an 84 toyota 2wd truck frame, with an s10 rear axle and the front axle from a 59 chevy. it has a chevy 292 straight six in it. whatcha think? its fairly gnarly huh?

its been a very fun project. and it has a triumph part on it! can anybody figure out what part? its a body part.

this video is from when i finished the cab and chassis. look closely. extra british car points if you can point it out.

Here' my guess - It looks as if the back of the cab was fabricated using a TR7/8 hood - nicely integrated too. Correct?

That looks right, early TR7 bonnet, single bump.

we have multiple winners!!!!!! i am so proud. it is infact the hood off a 1976 tr7. and no, those arent heater hose steering joints. those are rubber grease comdoms covering the sterring u-joints. lotsa rain here in washington ya know. that hood looks kinda cool on there huh?
