I went to a great little car show over the weekend only half mile from my house-- Great variety and some really nice cars! Nice orig owner '62 MGA, nice AH 3000, Isetta, mustangs, 55 t-bird, 'Model A Ford, '29 dodge, a few bikes, pick ups, and these-- know what they are? (year/make?)

The one in the background appears to be a Triumph 1800 or 2000 roadster. Not sure what the one in the foreground is though.

Man, you guys are good. I had seen the '38 MG TA before-- it is a real beaut. I purposely didn't show the whole car 'cause the license plates (in each case) revealed info about the cars. The 1948 Triumph 2000 was one I had never seen "in real life". Guess I was particulary taken by the rumble seat and its own windscreen. What did they call rumble seats in England?
I can post another pic of each if you wish-- have to downsize first.

There's a very nice black 2000 here in the Seattle area. The gentleman drives it all over the place.

The MG is a very nice car, but to quote people who have owned the early Midget series "the brakes are HORRIBLE!"

Sure, I'd love to see the other photos of both.

I always loved the second windscreen on the dickey seat myself, that whole car is just gorgeous IMO.

Pretty sure the 1800 & 2000's had "Trafficators" little flags that folded down & stuck out at the cowl of the windshield.

One contemporary reviewer described the dickey seat passengers as looking like "two privates perched over an Aldershot latrine".

Supposedly the body was designed by separate individuals, one did the front half and the other did the back and their designs met around the scuttle. Certainly a stately and distinctive car that is a treat to see.

Otherwise, looks to have been a great show with a fascinating variety of cars...Shelby Mustang, Twin-H Hudson Hornet, etc., etc.

Yes-- I was the only TR3 and the only duplicates were mustangs and corvettes but greatly different years for each. There was also a 'WW2 ('43) Jeep, an ol' Packard, 50's Buick, VW bug convert (not mine), '64 356 Porsche carrerra cabiolet, '52 chevy, and a couple '32 Ford type- kit hot rods, a newish Alpha Romeo, and a custom made "thing" type car made from a Ford Ranger. NOt bad for a local suburban show. Thing was, everybody liked talking with the other guys-- we all had fun talking about all types of cars-- muscle heads and LBC guys and Model A types.
