My local car show "Classics on the Common" takes place on the last Wednesday in July.
Ours is a small town, pop 40,000, about 25miles from central London. It grew from a few guys meeting on a Summer evening and we now get 1000 cars and 10,000 visitors and we raise about 30K GBP for local charities.
We dont "park by marque" and this generates some interesting contrasts.
Sometimes the parking Marshall tries to make a point!
To overcome this it has been known for owners to form a convoy so they can park together. I have a shot of this happening where every vehicle is the same from the same maker. You need to be a bit extrovert to do this.
Nominally your vehicle should be over 20years old but we dont enforce this rigourously.
The link also shows some of the more unusual vehicles including the first Lotus ever designed and built by Chapman.
