TR6 TR6 most common source of leaks into cockpit?

I do not purposely take my TR6 into rain, but around where I live it is bound to catch me. I have small leaks into the cockpit, and can't figure out where it is coming from. What are the most common sources of leaks in a TR6 into the cockpit? Thanks for your help.

Mine leaks most around the tops of the windows (I think). But I've had it sit in the rain and not get wet inside at times and other times sitting at the same spot, getting soaked. Mine likes to be facing down hill when rained on. I try to not let it out in the rain... It does better driving in the rain, than sitting.

Let me know what you find out. Take a hose to it and see where it come in.

Mine used to leak onto the passengers feet. There was a hole in the deck under the hood that fixed that. Also check the windshield wiper gaskets and vent.

They will also leak past the seal between the top frame and windshield.
Where in the cockpit are you getting water?

Make sure your battery box does not have any rust thru, it can come in there. Look down into the scuttle vent from the top to see if there are any holes on the back side.

Just a little rain lately, Don. I think I would get more use out of an amphibious vehicle living here. If it ever stops, I might be able to get my Bugeye out for a road test. A little more information. I am getting leaks on the floors, with it heaviest on the driver's side. I don't have the widow seals on that go on the outside of the pillars. The trunk leaks too - I am pretty sure it is coming in from the left tail light at this point. Just curious on if these were ever know for being leak proof. Can't put my carpet and interior in until I get this figured out.

Mine had rust hole in the plynth(guess thats what its called)the chamber between the cockpit and engine bay, right where the drain tubes are, I fiberglassed them and that took care of the leaks.

How are the rubber seals around your windscreen. If they are dried out and cracked, water can get in and tends to pool in the corners of the windscreen on the inside on top of and below the dash crash pad.

How is the seal at the bottom of the windscreen between the body and the screen? Again, if it is dried out, driving at speed you may get some water under this seal that accumulates in the corner and drops down the holes on either side where the windscreen posts drop down.

How are your two seals that run up the side of the windscreen? I find that quite a bit of water can get into the cockpit from there as well if these seals are not in good shape.

Lots of other areas as well but those seals would be a good place to start.
