Please stick to the original topic -
I want replacement Redline tires. What size works
without interferance problems on the rears? What
is the best tire at a fair price?
I'm happy with the Michelins - as bad as
some of you think they were. It's just that my tires
are getting old/worn,& I need to replace them.I really
can't afford it,but it's a safety thing.
I'm sorry, but the last thread got hijacked into
another area.

Hi Doug - I don't think it was clear in your original post (the earlier thread) that you only wanted info on Redlines.

Why not stick with exactly what you've got now?

Also, maybe more info on the type of driving you do, and how happy you are with the size of tires you have now, would help guys in making recommendations on other sizes.

Tom,

Sorry for the rant, but I've put off buying tires for too
long,& need to get to it soon.I bought two new Redlines from
Coker many years ago - the total came to about $450!I can't
afford to spend as much as I'd like to,but I realize that it
will cost some money.I'd like to keep it under $350,if poss-
ible.
I drive the car once-in-awhile,occasionally "jumping on it"
on back roads.I also want a tire that won't rub with two people
aboard,so size is a big consideration.

If your budget is like that, the relines are probably out of the question.

Doug - take a look. Not Coker's $171/tire ... but at least you'll have the redlines you're looking for.

DYI Redlines

Hang in there. Buy the mfr/size/style you want, add some elbow grease, and you'll get back on the road safely - with the look you want - until you hit it big on PowerBall.
