And yes I am sure he must mix up the keys sometimes(unless you just leave them in there) I have a proper key box/rack with the name of each car printed in seperate spots...yet some people(kids....) don't always put them back in the right spot...and I end up with the wrong keys quiet frequently.
How are you handling the key thing Tony?

I just leave them all in the cars..that way, if there was an emergency, they could be moved quickly....& if somebody tried to steal one, he'd die trying! Remember, I'm a crazy Vietnam vet with a .45!

One of my readers gave me a cd with pictures of Jay's Big Dog Garage. Evidently, this guy has Leno's back phone line and got a private tour, plus a ride in Jay's modified '55 Buick (Super, rather than a Century.)

Leno is one of the few guys out there that has similar tastes in cars to me. We both even have TR3s! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I keep the keys in my cars, and the spare keys in the house. If someone wants to steal my cars, they're gonna get them whether the keys are in the cars or not. The garage is secure and heavily alarmed, so anyone who can get through that undetected is going to clean me out anyway.

Once was asked by a neighbor when we first moved into th' hovel:"Are ya goin' to the Association meeting?"

Me: "Nahh, I've my own "watch" methods."

Him: "What's your way of dealing with a thief?"

Answer: "`BANG-BANG!~ Don't DO that! ~BANG-BANG!~"

That was related in the "Neighborhood Watch" meeting. I've NEVER had a problem. 20 years so-far... and I fly my POW-MIA flag in case there's any confusion. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I was at the local village hardare store & hangout one day & several folks were talking about a rash of break-ins lately...I explained my way to handle the problem: catch the thief, march him inside the house at pistol point...align him between me & door - point blank .45 in the head! Somebody asked if I'd really do that...I told him to break in & find out...owner of store told him about me shooting a neighbor's dog who came up on porch & stole a Porterhouse steak Jerri had marinating next to the grille - on the run, with a pistol...that shut them all up...rash of robberies also stopped!

'bout says it all.

Shortly after we moved in here I was home eating lunch. Had stripped down to just work pants... a neighbor comes to the door and said she'd seen a pit bull snarch a cat out of a tree... 12 year old cat, next door 12 year old kid's FRIEND... I was out the door, thru a neighbor's yard, grabbed a broom handle from the ground and was runnin' down th' street barefoot and shirtless, sharpenin' the stick onna pavement as I went... yellin' to anyone outside: "Where'd that ******' dog go?!? I'm gonna KILL th' sumbich!"

Dog got away by a whisker: ran home 4 blocks and "mom" was outside... when I got to her, she sided with the dog. She got an earful about going to the 12 year old and explaning "It was just an accident the beast got loose" and told her if I ever saw that dog loose again under ANY circumstance, she'd have a big hole to dig: "It's a DEAD dog right NOW, it just don't know it yet!"

Rumor spread about the "White Kunta-Kinte" whacko pretty fast... never did get to pop the dog, tho. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
