I've got a pile of projects to finish up on my MGB before I can drive her this summer, but first it needs to get warmer! I need to get the floors repainted -- I've got the POR15 starter kit sitting in my house ready to go and the interior of the car disassembled, just needs to get warm enough so I can do the work.

I love living in the mountains, but early spring can be trying sometimes! :cold: :wall:

I hear you, Drew, but at least the inversions and the pollution are gone. There were times in January when you had to chew the air up here in Logan before breathing it.

I think summer is scheduled for July 15th this year in Utah, so don't miss it. Fall starts on the 16th.

Now now, we usually have until August 15th before Fall...

I'm up in Midway, so at least we don't have the pollution/inversion issues that y'all get. Nasty stuff.

Yeah, I exaggerated a little. Midway's a pretty place!

It is a pretty place up here -- though I admit after nearly 20 years in Utah I'm still not entirely used to the early turning of the leaves here. I'm from RI originally and fall didn't start there until late September or October. Seeing the red colors come out in August still catches me every year.

I'm a transplanted Marylander, so I understand the problem. Got you beat, though, I've been here 29 years this Sept!

Will you be at British Field Day this summer?

I will be there, hopefully with my car. I think this will by my 10th field day in a row, at least as a spectator -- it's what got me re-interested in British cars.

I'll look for you there. Hopefully, it will have stopped snowing by then.

Did 160 miles today with a bunch of british car nuts today and it sure felt like summer time. Low 90's, blazing sun and a nice cold shower when I got back.

woke up to an inch of snow, but, more interestingly, was in North Bay - the highway north of town was closed due to a washout and as I was coming home I had to detour twice for the highway closed with water on the road - the had a million dollars damage from rain last week - this 4 hours north of Toronto. The waterfalls I saw were immense and the flooding impressive

Same here. Sitting here reading this thread and looking at the Winter Storm Warning for down here in Denver - three to seven inches tomorrow. If my car was currently running, I would be getting very impatient !:rolleyes2:

Weather's pretty sucky here in SoCal too--high of 95 today. I was out in the garage, working on my TD, where it probably topped above 100. It's what we call "Santa Ana" conditions, where the prevailing wind blows off the desert and out to sea, instead of the usual flow from the sea inland. With SA conditions, we get super-dry, hot, clear, windy weather.

By Sunday it shoud be drizzling and 60 degrees again. Not really an improvement.

Yes, and thanks for asking. It's just an early start to the fire season. Weather forecast is for cool temperatures and even possible rain Sunday, so that should help a lot. In any case, the Santa Ana winds have died down already, as of Sat evening, so I'm sure they'll have it all under control in a couple of days. Whew!
