:savewave: There are threads in the archives that deal with this operation, You need to get a hold of the factory manual or it's equivalent. A manual is an essential part of owning and servicing these cars, and can help insure against costly mistakes. It is still early on a workday Monday here in the States. Someone will be along shortly, never fear. --elrey

This is a relatively simple job. First, get a shop manual or aftermarket equivalent and read and understand it. Pulling the calipers off is straightforward. Then, you can pull the hubs with disks (this has been discussed thoroughly in another thread recently--did you follow that thread?). You may want to fabricate a simple tool to pull the dust caps. The new disks can be installed on the hubs; while you're at it you'll want to replace the seals and clean and repack the bearings. Shims are used to set the bearings properly in their races; if your bearings and races are OK you probably can just reuse the shims, though you'll want to check end float and add or remove shims if necessary. Inspect your axles for cracks before reassembling everything. If your hubs, bearings or races are worn or damaged replace them. Inspect the splines on the hubs--if they're worn to a sharp edge you will have to replace them.

The brake pads should have shims behind them to prevent squealing. Be sure to replace them in the proper orientation.

Yes, as it has been pointed out there is extensive information available here on the forum. Get that thread and Cut,Copy and paste it in to your browser or have it E-Mailed to you it virtually duplicates the shop manual and be sure and get one of those too..--Keoke.

Fabio, The thread is titled " front wheel bearings" I think it's on page 3. I took off the hubs, rotors, calipers and bearings. Waiting for parts now, so my babys on jackstands in pieces. It was easy enough to dismantle. Once you get the dust cover off, there's a big nut with a cotter pin. Take the cotter pin out, undue the nut and then the hub and rotor(disk) come right off in one piece. From there it's just five nuts holding the disk to the hub. Read that thread closly. It explains in detail how to get the bearings and everything back together and the importance of getting the endfloat just right.
