So I almost got the horn to work on my 62. Freed up the horn brush, cleaned up the push, determined that yes the horn did work by shorting across at the steering wheel. Put it all back together and it blew great three times. Then it sort of blew a sour note. Then it stuck on and panic ensued. pulled the fuse just as my wife came running out of the house to see if I was dead . Unhooked the wires at the horn and replaced the fuse to get some peace and quiet. When I took the push out the horn brush had broken into pieces. Question is, how do I get the old out to put the new in? As I poke around all I get are small pieces of black plastic (bakelite). Is there a way to acess this without pulling the steering wheel?
