I am in the process of changing my non overdrive transmission to an overdrive one I bought from another BN4. After going through it I noticed I had the front main shaft seal left over from the gasket set. The seal goes in the bell housing, Moss part number 021-192. Apparently there is no counter bore for the seal on a BN4.
Do you think it is worth the effort to machine a counter bore in the housing for the main shaft seal? The seal is located above the oil fill level. I attached a pic. Thanks,Tom
