door window glass

Hi, rather new to the forum but I have posted some Q & A's. I'm putting a "76B back together, I didn't take it apart, hence my problems. So far I have reinstalled: engine,transmission,pedal box,clutch slave, winshield and frame, radiator,headlights,taillights,body trim,door handles, brake lines etc,etc,etc. All has gone rather well, but I feel I spent way to much time installing the driver's side window and vent frame today, any correct steps, procedures would be great, as I still have the passenger side to do.

make sure that you have the window winderuper meatl part in the door first and slide the glass in from the top of the door on its side and the a little of menuvering later get everything where it need to be and bolt it up. maybe someone can explain it better.

Vent frame first. Snug the down nuts almost first, then do the horizontal bolts through the front of the door definitely snug. Now go back and do the snug on the vertical nuts. Secure the bottom of the frame (look for the marks in the paint for positioning).
Follow the advice above for placing the window winder; stick the mechanism through the winder hole, then get the tracking wheels in the channel, and bolt up. Again, it helps to look for past evidence of where the washers were before when snugging up. If it is tight, adjust the rear felt channel.
