I remember reading somwhere that the TR7's were supposed to have a diferent tire pressure in the front then in the back. Is this so? Mine is stock, P185 70 13's and I have always kept them the same.
What is the advantage of it on these cars if any, and do any other 7 drivers adhear to this?

Thanks

i use 24/28 front rear on my convertible as per owners manual and placard in glove box, my fhc seems to like 28/28; but i think the cheap tires on the fhc is the difference.

My understanding is that generally, lower tire pressure up front gives you less 'bite' hence more understeer... higher pressure more oversteer.

Higher in the rear is typical of every car I have owned and though I run much higher pressure than specified I still maintain the front-to-back difference.

I start with the max in the rear and a lower pressure up front... then see if that is too harch a ride and work down from there.

I can only tell you the standard racing concept:

front-engine/rear-wheel-drive cars tend to use more pressure up front and less in rear to increase sidewall stiffness in front to reduce dive under cornering and less pressure in back to increase the contact patch (increasing grip.)

I have 32 up front, 30 rear in the TR7 -- as I do in most of my cars, with the exception of my Dodge, which is 33 all around. When I autocross my C5 Corvette, I use 34 up front, 29 rear.
