Before I let out any smoke, does anyone know the correct way to bench test the wiper motor? I see from the wiring diagram and harness that there are three wires going to the motor. One is the earth wire which screws to the case. Then there is a terminal marked #1 which goes to the wiper switch and a terminal marked #2 which goes to the 35 amp fuse block. From the wiring diagram it appears the wiper switch grounds to the speedo and tach gauges.
Is the bench testing situation simply connecting a 12v pos lead to #2, and a switchable 12v neg lead to #1 and another 12v neg lead to case ground? Appreciate any other tips such as checking the limit switch, current consumption, etc.
Cheers,
John
