3/4 turn.

You saw me adjust yours last time.
Cover off, fire it up, back off each one until it clatters, tighten JUST until it stops clattering and no further.
Do the whole bank, shut it off.
Put 3/4 turn on each one (those are 1.5 turns full clatter to full collapsed, so we always put them in the middle to handle temperature and expansion changes), replace the cover, start it up.
By the time you have the cover on, it will have bled down.

Do the same on the other bank.

I like to do it hot.
That's usually how an engine runs.

Yet another possibility for someone wanting an early TR4 project is this one on eBay. For those into originality, the red-on-red combination is correct but somewhat unusual. Pictures aren't spectacular, but the car looks decently solid for a project TR4!

No real details other than my car has filled in holes on the trunk and front fenders where the TR4A lettering and turn signals are supposed to be. I will be putting it back as original at some point, and buying a TR4A with a good body for a good price is pobably the most cost effective way for me to go. I don't like the idea of taking another TR4A off the road, so I would probably sell of the remainder to someone looking for a car to restore. My biggest problem is a one car garage!
