Making slow progress on 100-6 SN50101. The original speedometer angle drive had a slightly distorted shaft so I purchased a new one from British Car Specialists. I have found a number of references that these need lubrication but cannot find if I should use grease or oil. Whatever goes in there, should it go in through that little screw on the top? I do have that new copper washer that will go in between the right angle drive and the transmission.
Here is pic of car in current state. 1.5 weeks ago it ran for the first time since the late '70s or early '80s. I only kept it going for 15 seconds but a significant milestone in the 5th year of the project. This group certainly understands how rewarding those milestones can be.
