32/36 Weber Synchronus Opening Kit

Has anyone tried this kit yet? I have been considering it for awhile and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.[www.pegasusautoracing.com]

It basically changes the progressive nature of a 32/36 two bbl into a full synchronus, opening the secondary along with primary from off idle. No personal experience but you will be running rich in mid range, may need to adjust distributor advance curve to match, change to hotter plugs, etc. Some engines respond well to pouring extra raw fuel down their throats at all speeds, but those are mostly under-taxed low rpm American V8s, not at-their-design-limit-already tractor engines.

Some sites suggest that a 38 synchrounus is fine (and maybe better) for an engine that will get heavily modified from stock. Also some sites suggest a better alternative carb conversion for MG to be a weber 45 side draft

DCOE is infinitely more effective.

We ran something like that - a 28/36 DCD on a grass-track racing Mini 1098 in England about 40 years ago (UK Autocross). It worked well, because most of the time you were at full throttle anyway, and of course the d/d was a lot easier to fit in a Mini and a B sight cheaper than a DCOE and special manifold.
