Worrying News About BCF Member Judow...

Judy and Doug, Sorry to hear this. Stay strong. You're persistent and determined enough to keep a Healey, you can handle this. My thoughts are with you.

Judy,
Stay strong: you'll be back to driving and grinning! Until the right arm gets fully back, we'll ride with you to shift the gears!
I do hope they put in a hardened valve seat: we no longer have any lead in our diets! ;-)
Patience and persistence,
Philippe

Judy and Doug,

I've been a member (I use the term loosely) of this forum for a while and don't know either of you, but wanted to extend my well wishes and prayers to you and your family as you face these trials.

Doug, pass this on to Judy. This August i had a stroke that paralized my right arm for about 10 min. After mistaking it for a pinched nerve for two hours I went to the hospital. Sure enough it was a real stroke on three sections of my brain and i wound up having a pacemaker implanted, plus Flicanade to keep my heart rhythm consisitentl and taking Eliqius for stroke prevention. With her new valve the heart will be strong. And, since shw whe was in the hospital at the time of the stroke she's likely to recover from it. I know how scary this all is, but over time I wound up with only some lost feeling on a ring finger, and that's likely to get better over time.

Docs are right...attitude and perserverance makes a difference. Anyone who can perservere and florish owning a British car can certainly beat this setback.

My prayers are with her and your entire family.

Judow---hang in. if i learned anything from my sister over the past 42 years, it's refusing to give up. She has been well now for almost 10 years despite the bad prognosis. I'm praying for you as i did for my sister. Don't lose hope...you are as strong as you want to be. Get well soon.

**UPDATE**

Just got off the phone with Doug. Mixed bag. Her kidneys are not functioning as good as they should, but on the plus side she did speak today (one word - water).

New to this sight and haven’t posted much but wanted to wish Judy a fast recovery and hope see is back behind the wheel soon.

I wish her a full and speedy recovery. I am going through a spell here at the moment and know how much it means to keep everyone going with good wishes and food delivery.
best regards,

Judy, While we certainly don't know one another...I feel fortunate that fate has taken me down the british car road and as I have gotten to know so many wonderful people associated with all things British. I have come to truly love the emotion and heart of Austin-Healey owners. I expect that same heart and emotion for your 100 will propel you to a speedy recovery. Godspeed to the queen, aka Judy!
