Winter sucks

We've got the 4" of the "supposed" 2-4 total that the weather map says we are to get and it's snowing harder now than earlier.

I hate the snow so much we are going back up the mountian today and ski for the day! Forecast blue skies and fun.

I feel your pain, really. Its frigid in Houston right now - 58 for the high today, 60 forecasted tomorrow. And blue skies. But the only snowlike stuff is the frost on my beer glasses in the fridge though. I'm hoping it lasts as we have our Polar Bear run next weekend!

Paul. Takin the sticks out tomorrow for the first time since Oct. Been to busy and the weather has sucked.
Fore!

I hope that you enjoy yourself. I'll be doing that soon, as well.

Skiing in the mountains is great. On the west coast. That means you come home to dry warm streets. Here it means you go from lots and lots of snow to just lots of snow. Such is life.....

Nothing I can do about this except shovel and complain. I'm doing a really good job of both right now.

Just got in from 4hr road bike ride. Bit brisk but the sun has warmed it up nicely here in Austin. Gotta work off the 3 pounds from the holidays, lol. Now it's shower time, then replacing the thermostat gasket on the Spitfire. Also it's time to first clean the carbs, then see if I can get the stumbling at half throttle at about 3800 rpm and up. I know, just rebuild the carbs... Rebuild kits will be ordered asap, as well as a few other parts.

Yupper! Winter is some places is a mean season. Nice to be driving my Six in temps below 110*F. High 70s is fine and dandy.

So is offshore fishing!

Dale...ya old balmy breezy fart....where ya been..send some of those temps our way!! :cooler:

We ended up with about 6".

Now the sub zero cold rolls in.

Tuesday another storm comes up the coast...........winter really does suck this year.

38 degrees below zero here this morning. And that is F not C. The 50/50 mix of anti freeze in my rad was slushy. I gave up and went back to bed.

"Dar th' bear"

Can ya sleep 'til mid-March?

One of my other hobbies is model trains...... ......and my trains sit forlornly in boxes

One of mine also. Here is my circus train, or I should say about 1/3 of it. The location is the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee.

Wow...that's is excellent. My wife and I have been to the domes numerous times. We lived in Oak Creek for many years. Our next trip will have a whole new perspective.

Nice work.

We got hammered last winter with several big storms pretty much on top of each other, similar to what seems to be happening back east this year. We got a few inches beginning of last week, and it is coming down pretty good tonight as well.

As far as I am concerned as long as it is going to be cold it might as well snow. Snow is fun, It is pretty and peaceful when it falls down and the world slows down and you can watch an old movie or read a good book.

I also feel like a manly man or pioneer or something when I go out and shovel or break a path through the freshly fallen stuff with my dogs, and they find it great fun too.

So if it is going to be too cold to work on the car it might as well snow.

Here we go again. We just about got rid of one mess from two weeks ago and we're just half way through the next one. This is as of 8:20AM and we have another 6-8 hours of this coming.

I hate snow.....

However, if you look, there is a silver lining. This photo by my son, using his D2X.

Focus on the positive, at least we get "Winter Parts Sales!" out of it. But maybe it has gone on too long already, last night I dreamt that it was warmer out and maybe I could fit my convertible top, but I woke up to -3 and another 6 inches of snow.
