Winter sucks

About 50 yesterday and I shot a great round. If I could only putt it would have been fantastic (for me)

OK, next week you'll make every putt, but that will come after you've missed a bunch of iron shots. The following week you'll hit great irons and putt well, but the driver will get you in trouble.

I've found that golf is like starting a project on your TR6. It never quite ends up like you thought it would.

EDIT:

I am focusing on the positive as well. I'm doing cleaning the stuff in the basement that I've been putting off for several years, so now I can start photographing and listing all of the spare TR6 & TR8 parts that I want to sell off by spring. That will start next weekend, because there is probably another 8-12 inches of snow coming by Weds.

The two games I don't enjoy are two games of golf.

Started off with a large coffee on the third hole, or we thought. Cart girl was out of java and went to get more. Luckily I had my flask of Wild turkey to warm us up until she arrived .
Beer was the back nine. Should have stayed with the coffee

You owe it to yourself and your team to stay warm while you're there. And to have snakebite protection as well.

I know what you're talking about; but I played in the Cali desert one time and there were all kinds of signs on the rough warning you to not hunt for lost balls because of venomous snakes in the rocks. Talk about a penalty!

Anything here is so far under snow and ice that it will take until July before they show up again.

Not fair to talk about golf ... minus 36 degrees here this morning! Cheers, Mike

How can people live at minus 36 degrees. I'm in heavy sweats and socks at 74 degrees.

And we've been hoverin' around 40F overnight, mid 60's for daytime high. I'm layer'd up like Nanook, thermal gutchies too.

Hi Steve, Great pics.
As a fan of Baldwin 10 wheelers I would very much like to tour your area.
If you ever get to Wisconsin there are a few places you might enjoy.

Two that are close to us;

https://www.mcrwy.com/

The 15" at Hudson across the river from the Twin Cities, The National Museum in Green Bay. And a nice 10 wheeler sitting in Black River Falls. The owner would likely allow you to crawl around on it.

BTW - I have about 100 photos of #40 in Ely NV during its last restoration work.

I have video of using a steam engine to push a snowplow through 5 foot drifts. It's on VHS, so I hafta transfer it to DVD.

Huggin' the backhead to keep from freezing.
