My Westy will weigh around 1300 lbs (I hope!) so I am beginning to think I will need some sort of adjustable proportioning valve to keep the rears from locking up. Any suggestions about which one is best?
I built a 925lbs se7en and a proportioning valve wasn't much good. The problem I had was that the front brakes did ALL the work and I could not transer the bias to the rear--even with the prop valve fully open to the rear. I suggest going with a dual MC setup.
OK, regarding the calipers, I'm very interested. I was/am shocked by the sprung weight in the front corners of these little cars. So...
1.) Is the MGB caliper lighter?
2.) is the MGB caliper a multi-piston setup?
3.) Is the Toyota caliper lighter? Multi piston?
4.) When doing the caliper swap, I take it one needs to use the MGB MC as well, no?
