Where do I get whitewalls?

I paid for my own wedding.... So can the kids. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

If they ain't got it, they don't need to get married yet - hehehheehehehehehe Super/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Hmmmm. Does that mean I'm one up on you slightly-older-than-me folks?

I know when to be subtle.... and when I should just say whats on my mind.... Most of the time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ya'll probably don't want me to say what was on my mind when I typed that. Because Bazul would have sent me to the bad place.

Sarah & Rob have been together nearly 7 years (first 3 were 'with disclaimers because he was working in Colorado and she was in college in Indiana) - I'm thinking it's time to put some pressure on them. Maybe mention that if the money doesn't get used soon, I may be forced to have to spend it.

I did tell Sarah I was giving her Emma for a wedding gift. Ungrateful brat /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif said, "I don't want that car for a wedding gift." Said, 'shame, because ya ain't gettin' anything else.'

She don't get the car then.... It's decided! Final answer and all that!

I'm married, I'll take Emma. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I'd be a good adopted son /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I'm not sure I can ever part with Emma.

Janel - when ya gonna change the photo of Binabox in your sig?

Never. That pic of Emma is the first day we got her, that pic of Binabox is the first day we got her.

SEXTY 6 on my license plate. Or...

MINE 2

Oh Janel, If we didn't love ya we wouldn't pull your chain.

I've called all the local joints, 3 of them referred me to Coker, said IF they could get whitewalls in the size I wanted, they'd still be more expensive that Coker. I'm calling DB Monday.

I have 1 set of NOS aftermarket whitewall tires in the original MG size....not a known brand but right size tire (same as came from factory) & correct width whitewall.

Picture? What size, how 'old' are they?

I "knew" that was coming /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif at some point real soon.

JB... It's gonna be beautiful. I wish I had both the time and money to make mine the same!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif sorry Jaybird /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I was just yankin yer chain...

I've been on your side for the Dove Gray on Red choice since day one. It is beautiful, it is period correct, it is classy, it will stand out.

You've made it perfectly clear where the line is and I'm sorry I crossed it with you.

(and I think the whitewalls will look sweet too)

I will now go crawl unner a rock and keep my big trap shut for a few weeks at least.

I was pushing "Mouse Gray" and red interior too. And it's a legit Porsche 356 color, BTW.

Again: Binabox is gonna be a very classy lookin' example.

WEEKS, Jim?!?! I hope not. I'd hate to have to carry the burden alone /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I just remembered why I dislike white walls. I had repressed the memory... When I was a child my dad use to make me clean them with a toothbrush and a bleach type cleaner. ACK!

But it is your car, and they have much better cleaning products now... don't they?

Geez. Trev! You whacked a synapse in me nodge with that, and I have the same aversion! Pink-and-white '57 Lincoln me Old Fella had was pimped out with fat freddy white-sides. And I think it was Clorox! BLECH!!

...what a nasty job...

I'd like to know what they use at the local detailing shop... I stayed and watched 'em do one of the company cars once... Sprayed something on the whites (thin whites tho), and a few minutes later hosed 'em off, and they were cleaner than ever... No touching them. I'll have to ask (if they'd tell me) what they use for that.

The best all around cleaner for whitewalls is hands down yea old SOS pad. Slightly wet and one pad will do all four in minutes. Brillo does not last as long. Whatever you do: DO NOT use Westley's Bleach-wite on painted wheels. It will screw up the paint on contact. Ask me how I know that.
