Yup. Several other factors make the job particularly ugly, including the studs not being parallel to the bolts. The clearance between the aluminum head and steel studs is also very tight, so any corrosion in this area tends to lock the studs firmly to the heads.tdskip said:Randall - head bolts frozen due to reaction between the metals?

Plus the heads are made of some very soft (cheap) aluminum alloy that corrodes easily. Apparently some bean counter actually changed the alloy specification, in order to save a few pennies!
