Thanks Peter for those pics. Does help a lot. Also my cardboard mock up turned out great and I drove around with it last night. I pretty sure I'm going to do it and i sure do like the way yours is made. The rounded edges makes it look better quality. How do I get one from Macy's garage?
Just did a Google search and found their site but the console was not listed in their parts data.
Ok I thought so. Correct me if I'm wrong but does it have rounded edges on the top and bottom of the sides? I re-looked at the British Wiring one and they look flat.
Also where did you get the wire mesh for the speaker cover?
It's the shadows that make the side pieces look rounded. They are flat. The front is the only rounded piece.
The screen was cut to a rectangle then I pressed the screen through 4 dabs of JB Weld on the rear of the front piece. No speaker behind it yet although I have a dual voice coil 5-1/4" that I might try to mount there at some point.
Okay I ordered one today. With that big square opening how did you mount a 2 knob radio? I still have my old one which I may still use or mount a completely new modern radio.

Has anyone installed a modern radio in one of these console? If so how difficult? I was driving around in my TR250 tonight and couldn't find a good station to listen to. They have eliminated all the good oldies stations around here for country, which I can't stand.
