TR5/TR250 TR250 WIPER SWITCH PROBLEMS/ QUESTION

On my way to 6-pack trials a couple of weeks ago my wipers quit working. Of course in the rain! I've narrowed it down to the switch. I see that it is serviceable so I took it apart, cleaned and put dielectric grease back into the switch. Still does not work. I can jump the terminals on the back and the wipers work. There are 4 spades on the back of the switch. Any suggestions? Also this is a recent completed restoration and I had to guess where the 3 wires from the motor go. All the markings (color) on the wires are worn off. One wire looks like light brown. The other 2 are tan. Maybe one with a hint and a small hint of red. Power to the motor comes from the solid green wire from the harness. If I can figure out which of the 3 wires goes to the green one, the others should be a piece of cake. Any help here? Thanks.

Is this a 2-speed set-up? If so, it may be the same switch as the headlamps use. I rebuilt a headlamp switch... it was a complicated arrangment of springs & contacts.

Anyway, with a multimeter in one hand, a wiring diagram in another hand and working the switch with your 3rd hand you should be able to test it out and deduce which terminals you need to connect to.

If you need a wiring diagram it's here:

This is a 2 speed set up. I would be happy for now to get one speed working. I did some work the other day with the multi meter but not with much luck. I still have my tape markers on the wires from the tear down for the back of the switch but still can't get the correct set up. Guess I'll have to brain storm it some more. Thanks for the wiring diagram.
