Maybe another bit of bracing on the inside of the door opening. That A-pillar skin will flex quite a bit.

You have som suspicious areas, but if the welds hold, it should be ok. If the welds burn the surrounding rust, you should have cut further.
It looks like you're on the right track.

Certainly gives you some ideas, as far as bracing, cutting out old panels, tack- and rosette-welding, etc.
