Hmm, did not know that. Sorry. Wonder how that will work?
I don't know. maybe someone makes them nearby?? I really would like one cause I need a hat in the midget, I have a thin spot in my hair in the back  I don't want to get sunburned and I love that all khaki hats. I got a moss one that I could wear but I like those.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

I still think it would be a good idea for everyone on BCF that is going to post a picture of themselves in front of their spriget, that way it will be easier to recognize each other at the meet up. I need to take one soon and post it. Either the wife will help or I will figure out the timer.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

Too dark when I got home for a picture. Long day, but a pleasant ending. My nephew who works at a tire store left me a pair of very nice used tires for my trailer. Put one on the wheel and balanced it and found that the valve stem was leaking. Then quit for the night. Will put a new valve in that one and then put it on the trailer and then replace the other tire on the other side. That tire is not bad but it is the sister to the one that the tread separated on with the previous owner. I will keep that tire off a rim and another good one on the rim for spares on the trip, plus my ranger spare will fit the trailer if need be. Once that is done I will rig it all up and load the midget and then figure out how best to tie it down and then take the whole rig for a test run down the interstate.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

A quick question for folks living in the general vicinity of the event:

Should we have any concerns either enroute or when arriving at the event as a result of the recent flooding?

Ray - who's looking forward to a great time...but wants to be prepared...

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

I have some alternate routes set up now due to the issues that may come up.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

THANK YOU!
Ray for bringing it up, and Lee for posting that map.
That changes things considerably.
My primary route is closed.
The Mississippi will get higher as all that upstream liquid finds it's way south in the next couple of weeks, so it looks like Interstate bridges are the only way over for right now.

That's why I'm crossing at Memphis!

Crossing at Memphis as well.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

Ok, this is me and my midget. I finally figured some out about the camera and self timer. Sorry, for the old work clothes but I was working on the car and just remembered the picture. I got the midget all strapped down and took it for a run down the interstate for about 20 miles and it did just fine. Won't be setting any speed records, but it holds 45 on some steep interstate hills that I won't likely see when I get out of these mountains.

Ok, guys. I can only save the map and the destination. Just checking with google maps saving the actual route is not possible on "My maps" to share with other using a link. You can show the map and destinations, but no route or direction, which makes it useless to me and a lot of other people. got to find a better online map.

Open MS Paint, go back to your Google map, hit the Print Screen button, then go over to Paint, click on Edit, then Paste, and you'll have a screen print you can save as a jpeg, and crop it and stuff..

Sounds like a plan. I can't believe that no one offers a savable map with a route that you can share with a link. I like your Idea.
