TR5/TR250 STEERING COLUMN CANCELING CAM TR250/ 6

What location does the canceling cam go on the steering column when reassembling. 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock? Not in the Haynes manual. At 9 o'clock I would think it would cancel immediately and at 3 o'clock would have to wait until it come back around. I am asumeing that is what will happen.

Not certain, but I believe it should be 3 o'clock.

Bought a used turn signal off of E bay and the cancelling thingy doesn't even touch it. Gyped again!

Maybe it's just the Crypt Car.

My original turn signal switch did not cancel;
the new replacement switch does not cancel.

I was not aware there was an automatic cancel
cam.

Hate to report it but mine cancels just fine bought a new switch from TRF I think. Was not expensive. The cam should face the switch (3 o'clock) and you can always just shim it out to reduce the clearence if its not cancelling like it should.

If it was to face the switch wouldn't it be at 9 o'clock? 3 o'clock would be facing away from the switch. or another way to discribe it would be eather facing the left or right side?
It is not canceling probably because I through it together years ago and left it. I recently had to remove a leaking spin-on oil filter adapter and had to remove the steering shaft to get to the oil cooler line nuts. So I went farther to correct my earlier mistake.
Just playing around twisting the shaft in the column it seems that it cancels more to the right then to the left. Any fix for that?
