TR2/3/3A Starting Conundrum

Hi everyone, thanks for all your great suggestions I worked through them all and in addition to the things I mentioned previously, I found that the carb float rubber seals were cracked (replaced with new Moss parts) and that the ignition-ignitor wire was connecting intermitted). I then drained all the fuel, added new fuel, and she fired right up as soon as I touched the starter. Happy day after some head scratching weeks.

A suggestion passed on to me by another TR3 owner. Regarding the white ignition wire between the coil and distributor. Make the wire about 2 to 3 times as long as normal. Then coil the wire with 1.5" coils within the short span where it fits. I also work to make sure the connections at each end are very good. As in soldered and covered with shrink wrap well past the actual connection.
Over the years I have had that wire come loose or break. But none since I changed to using the longer coiled wire.
