Spitfire Spitfire, Wire Wheels, White Wall Tires...

Andrew,

Can't answer that. They were installed prior to my caretaking. Apparently, one of the POs knew of the problem as 3 of the 4 wheels had cut down studs. When I removed the wheel I showed you there were clean rub marks on the rim and the inner portion of the hub showed rust like the rim wasn't fully seated.

Gotta go. packing for drill. Gong to Ft Indinatown Gap for rifle Qual be back Sun.

Depending on your budget, Dayton does make a tubeless wire wheel. They naturally carry a premium price. Can't guarantee what sizes they're available in.

If you decide to piece together the wheels, rim strips, tubes and tires know that not just anyone can mount them. I used my original wires and went all over looking. Finally a shop had one guy who knew how to do it by hand on the floor. Not really trusting the original wheels to drive agressively at some point Hendrix will get a call... when the car is up to it.
A plus for tubes, after being stored for 15+ years with crappy tires they still did not leak.
