Source for Bugeye top - rear bar

Anyone have a source for the rear retainer bar for a Bugeye top? Mine just has two small pieces of metal, but I know it should have the one long bar.

Pretty sure I have a spare rear bar, my AMCO top didn't use the full bar, just the two shorties.
As opposed to the front bar which should be straight the back is curved a little IIRC.

You can just get someone to trace one, send you the drawing, and have a local metal shop cut it for you out of aluminum. Worked perfect for me.

I will have to figure out how to send it so they don't bend it.

There are Priority Mail tubes (triangular) that would fit and the boxes are free. A poster mailing tube would work too, depending on the curve and length.

FWIW.....I just bought one from Victoria British (part #9-9021....$16.95). It works much better than the stiff wire that my top had.

I really need to start checking all the catalogs... after all these years you'd think I'd have learned my lesson...

Not that hard to bend one from a cold rolled strap. Just need a stout vise and a little ingenuity.
