Don, Your wheels look very nice, but if I'm not mistaken, a '50' sidewall on a 15 in. wheel, will have a smaller circumference whan a standard 185 tire on a stock rim: i.e., not quite as much filling your wheelwells, as a stock setup. Bob

This is from the tire calculator I use

Stock tire
Overall Diameter: 23.19 in 589.02 mm

New tire
Overall Diameter: 23.07 in 585.97 mm
It's as close as I can get with the 15"'s

It's what Woody recommends on that wheel.

Don, I certainly defer to your research into the matter, as well as the recommendation of your supplier. I was just coming up with different numbers. I'm sure your setup will look excellent. Bob

Bob, I think you might be overlooking that the TR8 originally had much smaller wheels than the TR6. I believe stock was 13" (same as TR7), so Don is doing a "+2".

Randall, you're absolutely right: I failed to notice that Don is talking about a TR8. My apologies. Bob

They hosed me. The Konigs weren't available in the 15X7 for the TR.
Now I'm back to square 1 again /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

Have you tried The Tire Rack?? (or is that from the tire rack?).

I hope al this is not interfering with putting the 6 on the road this summer??

OK I need some input.
The Konigs are out.
Panasport only sells 6"
The Compomotive are about 1100.00 a set
Anything from UK is out of control with the dollar sucking.

I have found a company 18 Racing Wheels (maybe from here) who will build my wheel in my color for 550.00 shipped. They said it would take 3 Months probably to get them. I think it is a great deal but 3 months . It would be like waiting for Christmas as a kid

What would you do?

Sorta-kinda. While ya wait for delivery, schtupp the old wheels on it. It'd take no time to swap 'em out later.
