Yesterday was difficult.
It was all about breaking the ice so you could do anything.
Break the ice off the porch and stairs so you could walk outside.
Break through half an inch of ice to get into the van, then break the ice off the windows and mirrors.
Yuck.
The streets around residential areas are still pretty sad but once you get to the arterial roads it's clear.
It was raining on top of the snow, so it seems to be warming now.
The next big thing (tonight) will be the windstorm.
They say there were 280,000 customers without power and they have that down to only 250,000 now.
No power at my house but there's a heater and an inverter for the little bit of electricity that makes things feel more civilized.
Cell coverage was out along with all other communications so we will have to wait and see about that.
I made it to work, though there's not a lot to do since most everyone else is not here.
However I get to play catchup for some others who haven't come in all week - yay for doing stuff I've done before - once - many months ago...
