Snowy in the NW - Pic

Raining pretty hard here now.....almost 40, roads are slushing badly, can't keep on the road sometimes.

I had to take my daughters to a birthday party around 1 pm here on Bainbridge Island. The roads were covered in thick slush over a layer of ice. I was all over the place (and having fun!). Fortunately it was in my 15-year-old Land Rover Discovery, which LOVES to drive in nasty conditions like this.

So i got cell phone service back finally but that's all.
Power and internet still off.
At least the snow and ice are melting.

Wow I really like the wifi hotspot with the 4g.
Sweet using it in tandem with the iPad, makes my 16 year old daughter really jealous!

We lost power Wednesday at about 11:00pm. It came back on Saturday about 7:00pm. Luckily we have a generator and a propane fireplace to keep it liveable (but still cold). The freezing rain was the worst. We lost about a dozen trees to the weight of the ice. Fortunately the only casuality was a metal gate that we don't use very much. My neighbor just put a new metal roof on his shop last summer and of course it got smacked by a tree. Can't wait for all this to go away.

Jeff
