It'll settle. You still need doors, seats, carpet, etc. I wouldn't sweat it.

Was not concerned till Tony brought it up, shhhhh Tony. It's a Bugeye.

LoL, the windsheld came from Jollyroger with the body, a new glass and rubber already mounted in the frame in fact. Took forever to get all the old soap off of it.

What I mean is, its basically the same windshield frame that's on a MkI Midget....main difference is Bugeye's held top on frame with 9 "lift the dots" & MkI Midget had a "groove" running the length of the frame.....Geesh..hehehehe

Ahhhh Hummmmm, Early Bugeyes (1958) had nine dot fastners, 1959 and 60 had the groove as well.

Well, there ya go! Its got a MkI Midget windshield...hehehehe

Tony, when you knoweth not what you are talking about I might suggest you do not talk. Foot in mouth is hard to extract.

Ed

Ed - did some Bugeye's use "lift the dots" on the windshields?

Do some Bugeyes & MkI Midgets share the same windshield?

You're correct - I don't know about what I speak...hmmmm, same parts numbers in the Moss & VB catalogs

Geesh!

We working on makeing a sprite guy out of Tony.

...& 99.9% of the people who know me know that my "hehehehe" means its a JOKE!!!

GEESH!

Ed, you've got to keep in mind that Tony has owned more MGs than anyone else and he'd actually bet on that. So therefore, he knows more about them than pretty much anyone else here.

Well, welcome back James - I've been watching you lurk around in the background for quite a spell & was wondering when you'd jump in on this one....don't know that I know more "about them than pretty much anyone else here" but I've forgotten lots more about them than some of the know it all's will ever know!

....& I can still can learn a thing or two when somebody of knowledge & experience has something new to teach! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Okay, Tony, I'll try to bail you out on this one. The first Bugeyes, up through # HAN 5 5476, used the windshield and frame with 9 studs for the top. After that, all of the Spridgets until the roll up window cars used the same frame and glass. So, more properly, a Mk I Midget has a Bugeye windshield on it, as the Bugeye had it first.
Jeff

That's the number I was looking for and could not find.

Thanks Jeff
