TR2/3/3A Side screen location.

My Side screens have arrived and they look great.

How far into the gap between the windscreen stanchion and the SS plate should the side screen lip go? I think I may be too far forward on the drivers side as the bottom of the lip wants to curl out side the stanchion also a little low. Should the metal frame of the side screen be level with the top of the stanchion?

The farther into the slot the front flap goes, the better the seal, but they should not go past fully in or you will get a bind. On the top, the flap on the screen should be able to be tucked under the outer flap of the top...otherwise water will run inside of the screen.

looks like you will win the race;. My curtains came in last week but final fitting will not be done for a while.TRF did a great job. With my stayfast top and now the stayfast curtains, I am almost ready for show.
Restoration is not wire ready. I’ve ordered a panel kit from Moss. First next step is buffing exterior which can make a mess so want that done prior to carpet and interior panels. Plus debating on carpet or wiring harness being first.
BTW anyone needing pot metal pieces rechromed, had my side curtain brackets done by Royal Silver Plating in Norfolk- fantastic job.

Got engine back from local machine shop. All good - 0.40 over jugs - 0.30 over bearings.
I messed up not sending split rear main seal; now I have to pull crank to install.
but anyway I did get block painted and head put on.

There are so many things that have to fit exactly to get the front edge and the top to fit repeatedly.

As I plan to not get out in the rain like you would in a daily driver I think I will concentrate on getting the front edge to work every time.

I would do the wiring first as some goes under the carpet. Looking at a TR4 a friend has I noticed pieces of plastic tube over the "T" shaped wire straps that are welded to the body. I can see that would prevent possible chafing of the wires.

tubes over straps is good. I use Wire shrinks.
you are correct on wiring first

I need to go back to do something about those straps. Some are going to be a pain to get to.

I used black plastic tube for the T piece wireing straps.
