Took some pics today - spring is coming! and I'm getting close - very close. The carpets aren't all taped in but what needs to be glued, has been glued.

FANTASTIC!!! John-Peter... I figgered it out!! The only thing missing on your car is a chrome hood strip!

I was thinking that too! (although mine is devoid of that yet, I've got the pieces ready to go, I'll be doing the side trim too I hope)

It's looking killer! Love the color combo.

I'm looking forward to seeing yours with the trim back on Jeff. That strip would just about complete the retro-de-evolution of John-Peter's car.

JP;
That looks BEAUTIFUL!
Are you going to have it done in time for Ancaster?

Dave :savewave:

I think Brite Brit Bits (or someone like that) has started making those again.

I got lucky and scored a decent one on ebay for $2.80!
Otherwise the usual sources were $200 from what I saw. It's a toss up though, whether it would look better with it or not. It looks darn nice right though!!

I have agonized over whether to go with on or not - even know were one is. decided I had to.

a) stop somewhere and

b) realize that driving with a spear mounted on the hood might not be the smartest.

but you never know.....

Nice, awsum, cool, super, and all that stuff. You done good.

Very nice. Now take your shoes off before you or any passenger is allowed to get in it! I love my 78 midget but I got to say the front end of your car I really enjoy and think is a nice design. Makes me a little jealous. What else is new.

That red carpet, and its installation, looks absolutely beautiful.

Everything is new - in the, full restoration sense of the word. The big visible change is the chrome bumper conversion - in part because of the fact that she had been in an accident anyway - made the choice much easier.

Also, had my body guy put in beehive signals on front, removed the side signals and the reverse lights. Reverse light is now hanging under the bumper on the left (motorcycle signal light) Other than that, only little things like green motor/ different shift knob/ wood wheel and red carpet, Aston gas cap she's pretty stock. Oh and Old English White was not a Midget colour in 1976.

JP, what color are your seats?

I think Old English White and a red interior has got to be THE quintesential small sports car combination. Very, very, VERY nice job!!
