• Hi there Guest - Welcome to the New BCF!! This has been a long process and I'm sure there will be some kinks to work out, but as of today, Feb 22nd, the British Car Forum has been migrated to this new forum platform! There is much that is similar to the old BCF but also much that is different. Please give it a chance as with all things new and shiny it will take a little getting used to. However, I'm coinfident that, once you get used to it, you will find it a much more user friendly platform than the previous, outdated software.

Karl--- steveg suggest Tom Bryant did work and I believe Tom Bryant posted a couple posts on the thread SU running rich; the thread I posted and you were there too - these guys know plenty, I can tell by the way they communicate Plus it looks like Tom Bryant re-bushes Carbs. I would definably look into that!

Why would you do this when there is a great DIY fix. The wear on the shafts can be repaired
with metal bonding epoxy and sanded back to proper fit. With synthetic grease lasts for decades

Sounds good.Where can I find out more about that process? How could you sand the shaft to a consistent roundness?
