Route 66 Adventure - Please join me

So the reason for the sculpter being there in Winslow on that corner on that date was because it was the first day of the "25th Annual Standin' on the Corner Music Festival". And Ron Adamson was being honored. And that is also why I could not get a room in Winslow that night. Every room was taken so I had to drive to Flagstaff.

It's still too hot to comfortably drive Route 66 from Phoenix via Flagstaff to LA so I'm still cooling my jets in Portland. Hopefully, I'll be able to resume the adventure in a week or so. I'll keep you all posted.

It's cooler after sunset.

Just sayin' ...

It's hard to get a good view of the scenery when it's dark. Getting a good view is part of the Route 66 experience.

Consider starting early, just before sunrise.

Oooops. I forgot to post on this forum. I made it all the way. Even to the very end of the Santa Monica pier I got home on November 9th. What a trip!
